Joining the Pack
Scouting App
Once registered, download the Scouting app to access and track Adventures and Ranks. Use the same email and login you used for Scouting America registration.
Pack Dues
Annual Pack Dues cover pack costs including adventure belt loops and supplies for events.
Dues are $100 per year, with a $25 discount for each additional sibling.

Pack Communication
All Pack parents use WhatsApp to communicate as a group. After registration we will send an invitation to join the Pack 516 community.
Gear up for Adventure
Pack members are expected to have a full uniform:
- Uniform button-up shirt (blue)
- *Lions only require a Lion t-shirt
- *Arrow of Light requires the Scouting tan/green uniform
- Patches:
- American Flag patch
- World Crest Emblem/Ring
- Council Patch “Silicon Valley Monterey Bay”
- Pack numerals (516)
- Uniform Pants, Shorts or Skort (blue)
- Belt (blue)
Items based on Den (Lion, Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelos, Arrow of Light)
- Neckerchief
- Neckerchief Slide
- Hat
- *Adventure Colors (only for Webelos & Arrow of Light)
- *Loops (only Arrow of Light when in tan/green uniform)
Scouts also need some type of backpack to carry their six essentials for meetings and adventures:
- Water (preferably in a reusable bottle)
- Snacks
- Sun Protection
- Whistle
- First Aid kit
- Flashlight
Medical and Release Waiver
Annual Health and Medical Report
Required Sections: Complete sections A and B
Submission: Turn in to your Pack leaders as soon as possible
Storage: Forms are kept in a binder and available during all meetings and Adventures
Emergency Use: Will be presented to emergency personnel if needed
